PGVT, semi-vitrified, porcelain, full body: a one-page guide for contractors and architects

Clients ask for "vitrified" as if it were one thing. For a specification it is four things in the Drambay range, each with a job. This is the page to send a client, or a site supervisor, when the question comes up.

PGVT, 600 x 1200, glossy and high gloss

Polished glazed vitrified: a vitrified body with a digitally printed, glazed and polished face. This is the bulk of our 2x4 range. Indoor floors and walls: living, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom. Two pieces a box, 15.5 sq ft, 27 kg a box. Not for exteriors.

Semi-vitrified, 600 x 1200, carving matt

The carving range (Renoir Grey and Pearl, Jupiter Brown and Crema, Opera Brown, Alice Aqua) is a semi-vitrified body with a textured matt face. Indoor floor and wall. 26.5 kg a box. Specify it where the client wants texture or an anti-glare floor indoors.

Porcelain, 600 x 600, matt

Dense matt porcelain for floors and terraces. Four pieces a box, 25.25 kg. The 4023d and 4024l plains are 8.5 mm. Use on terraces, balconies, wet areas and utility floors.

Full body vitrified, 600 x 600, 8 mm

Coal, Coffee, Desert, Oxide, Smoke: the colour runs through the whole 8 mm body, so chips and wear do not expose a different colour. Parking, driveways, terraces and heavy-traffic floors. 25 kg a box.

Specification notes

ISI mark on every box. Each order is dispatched from one batch and shade-checked before dispatch; for phased sites, tell us the full quantity up front so we can hold a batch. Questions we get asked

Can the 2x4 PGVT go on a covered balcony?

A fully covered, dry balcony is indoor by our definition. An open or semi-open balcony that gets rain is not; use the 600 x 600 matt range there.

Do you supply to sites outside Punjab?

Yes, delivery is all India in 20 days. Rates and documentation come from the Ludhiana showroom.
